Sparkling Gourami Care Guide
The Sparkling Gourami (Trichopsis pumila) is a beginner-level freshwater aquarium resident from Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam. It reaches about 1.6 inches and should be kept in tanks of at least 10 gallons.
Keep water near pH 6-7.5, temperature 75-82F, and hardness 3-15 dH. Feed omnivore, floating pellets, frozen food with 1-2 small feedings daily.
Sparkling Gouramis use the upper water column and appreciate floating plants. Avoid cramped tanks with multiple territorial surface fish.
