African Dwarf Frog Care Guide
The African Dwarf Frog (Hymenochirus boettgeri) is a beginner-level freshwater aquarium resident from Captive care. It reaches about 0.8 inches and should be kept in tanks of at least 10 gallons.
Keep water near pH 6.5-7.8, temperature 72-79F, and hardness 4-15 dH. Feed carnivore, frozen food, live food with 1-2 small feedings daily.
African dwarf frogs can live with gentle fish that will not nip them or steal all food. Avoid large or aggressive tank mates.
