The Sailfin Molly (Poecilia latipinna) is a beginner-level freshwater aquarium resident from United States, Mexico. It reaches about 5.1 inches and should be kept in tanks of at least 30 gallons.
Keep water near pH 7.5-8.5, temperature 75-82F, and hardness 8-25 dH. Feed omnivore, flakes, vegetables with 1-2 small feedings daily.
Sailfin Mollys prefer harder, more alkaline water than many soft-water fish. They are usually peaceful but should not be kept with fin nippers or fish large enough to eat them.
