Rosy Barb Care Guide
The Rosy Barb (Pethia conchonius) is a beginner-level freshwater aquarium resident from India, Bangladesh. It reaches about 5.5 inches and should be kept in tanks of at least 30 gallons.
Keep water near pH 6-7.5, temperature 64-77F, and hardness 4-15 dH. Feed omnivore, flakes, frozen food with 1-2 small feedings daily.
Rosy Barbs are active schooling fish. Keep a proper group to spread chasing behavior and avoid pairing nippy species with slow, long-finned tank mates.
