Pea Puffer Care Guide
The Pea Puffer (Carinotetraodon travancoricus) is a intermediate-level freshwater aquarium resident from India. It reaches about 1 inches and should be kept in tanks of at least 10 gallons.
Keep water near pH 6.8-7.8, temperature 75-82F, and hardness 5-15 dH. Feed carnivore, snails, frozen food with 1-2 small feedings daily.
Pea puffers are small but nippy and predatory. Most community fish, shrimp, and snails are poor tank mates unless the setup is species-only or heavily managed.
