Buenos Aires Tetra Care Guide
The Buenos Aires Tetra (Hyphessobrycon anisitsi) is a beginner-level freshwater aquarium resident from Argentina, Paraguay. It reaches about 2.8 inches and should be kept in tanks of at least 30 gallons.
Keep water near pH 6.5-8, temperature 64-79F, and hardness 4-15 dH. Feed omnivore, flakes, frozen food with 1-2 small feedings daily.
Buenos Aires Tetras are active schooling fish. Keep a proper group to spread chasing behavior and avoid pairing nippy species with slow, long-finned tank mates.
